CM Illustrations Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order for personal use?

Choose your style with either an individual or a package price and message me through any of my social media platforms or my email. Let me know if this is to be a gift and what date it will be needed for. I will let you know if I would be able to complete your commission for a set date.

I will need a high quality photograph or multiple photographs depending on which style you choose and how much detail you would like to be added without any filters, sent to my email address cm.illustrations@yahoo.com

I will need to confirm if the quality of the image sent is clear enough for me to work from , I will inform you of my turnaround times or if you will need to be added to my waiting list. Payment will only be taken when I am about to start your commission. I will contact you when it is your turn on my waiting list, I will ask if you still wish to proceed with your commission and take payment.

Full payment is required before any commissions will be started. This can be paid through PayPal or bank transfer, details will be sent to you via your method of contact.

By purchasing you are agreeing to CM Illustrations policies and terms & conditions.

Which payment methods do you accept?

I accept Bank Transfer or Paypal.

What do I do if I'm overseas and I want to order?

If you live outside of the UK or the other areas that I post to like Ireland etc and you would like to order a print, I would recommend purchasing the digital copy of the style you'd like to order. As I do not post outside the UK as the prints could arrive damaged or could even be lost in transit to you. If you purchase the digital copy then you can get it printed locally to you.

What do I receive when I purchase a digital copy?

You will receive a digital download (PNG) file of the commission that is sent to your email address. You can use this file to print yourself or to post for personal use on your personal social media accounts. If you do post online it is greatly appreciated if either my Facebook page CM Illustrations or my Instagram @cm.illustrations._ is tagged in the post.

Please note- This purchase does not include a physical product (print). All digital copies will be sent with CM Illustrations logo on the finished commission.

What do I receive when I purchase a print?

You will receive a high quality glossy print without the CM Illustrations logo, it will either be an A4 or A3 size depending on which size you have ordered. All my prints come packed in thick clear cello display sleeves to keep the prints protected. A3 prints will have an extra piece of white card for more support and all prints are posted in a hard-backed ‘please do not bend’ envelopes. They will have CM Illustrations P.O. Box return address attached, hopefully ensuring it will return to me if there is an issue during its journey to you. They are sent via Royal Mail 1st class, this is included in the price.

Please note- Digital copies are sent separately via email if you purchased an A4 or A3 package.

A4 - 210 x 297 mm or 8.3 x 11.7 inches

A3 - 297 x 420 mm or 11.7 x 16.5 inches

How can I view your previous commissions?

Click the ‘CM Illustrations Portfolio’ button on the sidebar to see some of my previous commissions. Alternatively there are links to my Instagram , Facebook and Tik Tok on my website and most of my previous commissions are shown. Not all my previous commissions are listed due to some being purchased as gifts. You can also view my customer reviews on my Facebook page or Google.

What type of photograph do I need?

To get the best possible results from my work please try to send me a high quality unfiltered and clear photograph. Please make sure that you have the desired angle of the car you wish to be digitally drawn. If the car has small details like modifications or stickers, I will need close up photographs of them so I can get as much detail in your commission as possible.

What vehicles can I draw?

I have digitally drawn most types of vehicles from large trucks to motorbikes. If it has wheels I will draw it and I am always up for a challenge!

What if I’m not satisfied with my order?

You will be sent a watermarked proof image of your commission for your approval before you are sent the final digital file or print. If you require any adjustments just let me know and I will be more than happy to make any adjustments. My aim is for you to be 100% satisfied with your commission.

If a print ever arrives damaged please contact me within 24hrs. If the damage is through posting, I will send another print out to you for free.

If I order just a print can I see what the commission will look like before it is posted?

You will be sent a proof image with my copyright watermark over the top for your approval, if you need any adjustments please let me know so I can make them. Once I have had your approval, it will be printed, packaged and posted out by Royal Mail, first class.

Please note- The copyright watermark will only be removed from the proof, if you have purchased a print.

How long will my order take?

I do not own a computer and all my commissions are drawn digitally by hand using an apple iPad and Apple pencil. I can take numerous hours to complete a commission depending on the level of detail/style the client has chosen.

I have set estimated turnaround times to give you an idea of how long it may take me to digitally draw your commission/s and all the details are in each of the styles descriptions. Turnaround times will vary if there are multiple cars/pets on one commission or if you choose any of the higher detailed styles.

During Peak times throughout the year or if I am experiencing more commissions than usual, it may be necessary for CM Illustrations/ Media Memories to create a waiting list and I will let the client know in advance. If the client is to be added to a waiting list, it will not be possible to give an exact date.

Where do you ship to?

I will send orders to anywhere in the UK ( England,Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) via Royal Mail first class post which is free when ordering the print. Anywhere else may incur extra shipping charges which is to paid for by the client.

I prefer not ship internationally just incase your orders get damaged or lost. I recommend purchasing the digital copy and getting it printed locally.

How long does delivery take?

All orders are posted out once a week through Royal Mail, this day may vary. I will have extra postage days at peak times or when necessary throughout the year. Your order will be sent with my return P.O.box address attached, hopefully ensuring it will return to me if there is an issue during its journey to you.

You will be sent a message when your order has been dispatched, if possible could you let me know that your order has arrived safely.

All prints are sent via Royal mail’s standard 1st class post included in the price, this may take up to 3 days to arrive.

You can request to upgrade your postage to either tracked or signed for an extra cost payable by you.

Digital copies are sent immediately via email after approval and you will be notified once it’s been sent.

Returns & Refunds

Returns

Returns are not accepted unless the commission/ merchandise has been damaged prior to the client receiving it. The client must get in touch within 24 hours of receiving the commission/ merchandise. The cost of returning any damaged commission/s or merchandise is the responsibility of the client.

Refunds

If payment is made but the commission/s have not yet been started you are entitled to a full refund and all photographs and personal details will be deleted.

If the commission has been started but not finished only 50% of the payment will be refunded and all photographs and personal details will be deleted.
